The Sephora sale hit at exactly the right time. Smack in the midst of a global pandemic, and knee deep in simultaneously working and momming from home, the email reminder hit my inbox (as if I needed it lol) and I was able to empty my cart for 20% off + all the saved up gift cards. Then it was simply time to patiently wait for the items to arrive. Which, as anyone else who shopped the sale knows, was not a quick process.

I didn’t want to share my buys too early. I wanted a chance to use them for a while, really get a feel for which ones I loved, and which ones made me wish the stores were open for simpler returns. Below I am rounding up my absolute favourite items that I’ve recently spent a small fortune on.

4. SATURDAY SKIN Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel

1. SOL DE JANEIRO Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
2. SOL DE JANEIRO Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel

Just a couple notes about these products….

Firstly, the Brazillian Bum Bum Cream is worth all the raves it gets. I’ve never used a body cream that moisturizes so deeply, and has such a beautiful long lasting scent.

The Tarte brushes are also worth the hype. Incredibly superior tools. The concealer brush coupled with the Tarte concealer is like airbrushing on concealer. I’ve been searching my whole life for this kind of coverage, and I will never switch from these products.

The Farmacy Honey Potion mask is divine BUT I suggest washing it off with cold water and a wash cloth. When warm or hot water mixes with the mask, it gives the skin a burning sensation, and the skin around the eyes is FAR too sensitive for this product, cold water or not.

Saturday Skin’s exfoliator is a revelation. You can literally see the dead skin rub off of your face. It is disgustingly satisfying and I am utterly obsessed.

Olaplex is my haircare of choice, so the oil was the final addition to my collection. Olaplex has completely changed the texture of my hair. It is worth every single penny (and the whole collection is a lot o’ pennies).

Boar bristle brushes are the secret weapon that have been missing from my haircare routine. I have very tangle prone hair, and now I can comfortably brush without ripping my hair out.

And finally, Cinema Secrets is the magic tool cleansing potion that every makeup lover needs. It’s incredible how easily and quickly it cleans your brushes, and you don’t even have to wait for them to dry overnight. Seriously, check out this video. It’s a very impressive product.
