In case you needed a reminder, Mothers Day is on Sunday. If you’re a man and you’ve come across this because a) you searched “what to get for mothers day” b) you’re amongst the 20% of my followers that are men lol or c) someone sent it to you as a not so subtle reminder to get your shit together, below I am breaking down some great items you can get that special mama in your life that either ship fast or are available at most major malls.
Jewelry is always a great idea and should be at the top of most lists for mothers day. I’m a big fan of Mejuri. My friend Courtney turned me onto it last year, and I’ve been coveting pieces ever since. All their stuff is so chic, but for mothers day I’m particularly liking the zodiac collection in either her sign or her child’s sign. Two kids? That’s ok. They make necklaces and rings! Jillian Harris has just released a limited edition diffuser with Saje and IT. IS. GORGEOUS! It’s selling quickly and won’t be restocked once it sells out. Her diffuser blend has already sold out, but Saje has so many gorgeous scents to choose from. House warming is lovely as is Goddess. Saje is located in most major malls so you won’t have to worry about shipping times.
If you’re wife or partner is more of a flowers gal, then I would suggest eternity roses as an alternative to fresh flowers. These will last her all the way until next mothers day, and make for beautiful decor. My favourite eternity rose designer is MFleurs based out of Montreal, but tons of florists are doing eternity flowers now, so there’s probably someone local to you.

These shoes will perfectly spice up the international mom uniform: black tights and a white t-shirt. Actually, if you really wanna win mothers day, throw in a pair of LuLu Lemon black tights and a the PERFECT slouchy white tee from UO.
If your wife is pregnant and you are wondering if you should buy her a mothers day gift, the answer is YES. She’s a mom. Get the woman a gift, or at the very least some flowers. But if you are going to go the gift route (good on ya), there are a couple things I would suggest: Either a prenatal massage from Mama Mobile Massage or a Herschel Srpout Diaper Bag. I have two diaper bags; a grab and go bag by Fawn and a Herschel for when I need to pack more. The Herschel bag is incredible, fits a ton of stuff and is readily available at heaps of retailers.
A lot of these gifts have larger price tags ($80-$120), but there’s also nothing wrong with small tokens of affection. Saje makes beautiful sprays, and Nordstrom sells some amazing candles. Sephora is always good for a quick gift as well, and I’m yet to meet a woman who doesn’t like a Homesense gift card. You could also let the lady sleep in a bit, maybe make breakfast, or take her out for a nice brunch/lunch. Mothers day isn’t about the gifts, it’s about spending time with the people we love most. The gifts do add a little excitement to our day, and remind us that we are appreciated for everything we do, but they aren’t necessary for a special mothers day. But whatever you do, just don’t buy her a vacuum. It’s not the right holiday for that.
