Seems crazy to be sharing these on the day after Lucas turned 10 months old, but here we are. I previously shared my Fresh 48 session by Michelle Lina Photography, but never got around to putting these on the blog. I’m not sure why, they are absolutely stunning. But I guess, as I reflect on the last 10 months, it’s nice to reminisce through photos and try to remember what it felt like to hold a 7 lb version of the 21 lb little babe I’m holding now. To try and remember what it felt like to be that tired and that sore, still healing from my c-section. It’s such a distant memory now that sometimes it almost feels like it happened to someone else. Back then me and the little meatball were figuring out who we were together; me as a new mom and him as a shiny new human. I guess we are still figuring it out, and will be for a while. Things are constantly changing, and I’m constantly discovering new parts of me that I didn’t know existed. He learns something new, like crawling or eating solids, and then the world becomes his to discover once more. Together we are always learning and growing.
They say the days are long but the years are short. As I approach one year with this sweet child of mine in my life, that sentiment feels truer than ever. I can’t believe 12 months has almost passed. I’m going to cherish these next two months as much as humanly possible.
Thank you Michelle, for always taking such beautiful pictures of my family. You truly have a gift.
